The Arsenal midfielder scored his third goal in the 57th minute, curling home from more than 20 yards out after receiving a pass from Lamine Yamal. The 29-year-old has scored six goals in six games for Spain in 2025, having netted just twice in his first 31 caps.
In Konya, Pedri and his Barcelona teammate Ferran Torres each scored twice. Mikel Oyarzabal had set up Merino's two first-half efforts - and assisted three goals in total as the hosts were stunned.
In Group E, Spain has won their first two World Cup qualifiers, while Turkey and Georgia have three points each.
